Hello Everyone!
American Horror Story is back!!! I absolutely love this show and have been an avid viewer since the first season. This is the one show I couldn’t wait to come back for the fall television line up! If you have never watched AHS, then you’re in luck. Each season is a miniseries; there’s a new plot, a different location and different characters. The only thing that stays the same are the actors and actresses. Anyone can watch AHS seasons out of order and you would not be lost. Don’t believe me? The first season was a haunted house; the second season was an insane asylum; and the third season was a witch coven. This season is the freak show.
Some people think this show is too scary but I honestly don’t think so. I absolutely hate horror movies; I cried while watching Insidious and Paranormal Activity. If I can watch AHS and not cry out of fear, then it’s not scary. AHS is a “gory/ push the boundaries” type of show with a twist of dark humor. To top it all off, the show has power name actresses like Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates and Sarah Paulson.
The person who created AHS is the same person who created Glee. That’s right; Ryan Murphy, the man who made high school students sing together and taught kids that it’s ok to be yourself, is the man who has made me fan girl over characters like Tate, Lana, and Myrtle Snow. How can a man go from singing teenagers to a murderer/ pychotic/ witch / aliens/carnival television show? You are either a creative genius or just plain mad. Then again, Lewis Carroll once said, “We’re all mad here.”
