Marco Borges, founder and CEO of 22 Days Nutrition, wrote a book called The 22-Day Revolution. It comes out this Tuesday, April 28th. The book is about living a healthy lifestyle, losing weight and the benefits of going vegan. For those who are still skeptical about going vegan, I can (and have) vouched that this program works.
I wasn’t able to sleep last night so I was looking at my old tagged photos on my Facebook. I came across a picture of me in 2013 when I was a bridesmaid for my friend’s wedding. Memories ran through my mind seeing that picture; I remembered when I ordered my dress I trained and watched what I ate for 5 months. I did cardio 5 times a week, saw my personal Pilates instructor 2 to 3 times a week, counted calories, portioned out my food, did juice cleanses and ate lean proteins. Within those 5 months, I only lost 7 pounds and the dress fit exactly the same when I first ordered it.
In 2014 I did the vegan challenge; within 22 days I lost around 20 pounds, went down 2 dress sizes and my skin cleared up. I didn’t change my workout plan; I just ate vegan food. Today I’m still vegan and I’ve kept the weight off. I know I overly talk about my experience, but it has truly changed my life. For those who have struggled with their weight, I understand how you feel. I’ve been dieting since I was 13 years old. None of those diet plans made me happy; I was miserable and just wanted to eat Taco Bell like my friends.
Doing the 22 Vegan Challenge was probably the best decision I’ve ever done for myself. Being vegan is not a diet plan, it’s a lifestyle choice that makes me feel happy. I am so thankful for 22 Days Nutrition and I cannot wait for my copy of The 22 Day Revolution! I’m so excited to see what vegan recipes Marco has in his book!
