Hello everyone!
There are a few things that I love to do:
- Sleep in
- Blog
- Eat vegan food
- Shop online
- Go to farmer’s market
During the beginning of spring, a nearby farmer’s market comes into town. If you have never been to a farmer’s market, then you’re missing out! I love going to farmer’s markets because I can get my fresh veggies & fruits for an inexpensive price. You can find some random things there too. For an example, I found vegan baklava! So for today’s post, I think it would benefit those who have never been to a farmer’s market.. It’s time for a haul! 🙂
Fresh Orange Juice
Yesterday was my first time trying this juice and I have to say, it’s really good! It’s so good that there was a long line just to get orange juice! Not only is it locally fresh, there’s no added sugars. This is a medium; he has a small and a large available to purchase as well.
Veggies
People always tell me, “being vegan must be expensive”. It actually is not. I got that huge bushel of kale for $1! Individually, these veggies were under $2. I got fresh kale, parsley, carrots, spinach, broccoli, and cauliflower… Keep your eyes out for a food blog post!
Hummus & Pita Bread
My name is Laura Kamada and I’m addicted to hummus. Hummus is one of those snacks that I cannot live without. I love Baba’s hummus because they have different flavors; for an example, they had edamame hummus! My favorite is the chipotle hummus. They also sell fresh pita bread at their stand.
All together I spent around $35 dollars which is not too bad for groceries. If you’re wondering why I didn’t pick up any fruit it’s because I didn’t see anything that I liked. When you go to farmer’s markets, I would advice you to bring a tote bag to carry all of your produce; I brought my 22 Days Nutrition tote.
