April Favorites.

Hello Everyone!

I can’t believe it’s already May!! I feel like I just posted my March Haul. Funny story, for some reason I kept telling everyone, “don’t forget to buy your Easter outfit!”…. Easter was weeks ago.

For today’s post, I wanted to share my favorite items that I used in the month of April. Some of these items were gifts given to me, I already owned or I purchased in April.

Urban Decay’s Subversion Lash Primer

While doing my makeup, I noticed I was missing a section of eyelashes. My long eyelashes were now short and stubby. I found out my eyelash curler was the cause of my situation. I went into panic mode; I rushed to my closest Ulta and one of the girls told me to try a lash primer. I went with Urban Decay’s Subversion and I am so glad I bought this! I really saw a difference when putting this on before my mascara. My eyelashes looked longer and thicker (yay!). To be honest, I don’t know why I never bought this before. If you have thin eyelashes, this is something you need to have in your makeup bag.

Tweezerman Eyelash Curler

Since my old eyelash curler was chopping off my eyelashes, I decided to get a new one. I know that eyelash curlers can cause your eyelashes to break but I need to curl my eyelashes. Not only do I have small eyelashes, but they are also super straight. I tried other ways to curl my lashes, but the only things that works is an actual eyelash curler. I got a rose gold Tweezerman Eyelash Curler at Sephora. The curler does the job and I love the color.

Anthropologie’s Soy Candles

We all know I have an obsession with candles. On April 1st, I bought Anthropologie’s Pomelo & Sea Salt Soy Candle and it smells amazing. It has a lightly sweet scent but it’s not over powering, which is perfect for my kitchen. I usually go through one candle a month, but surprisingly this candle is still going! I think it’s because it’s a soy candle; “Soy not only burns cleaner but slower too” (via Household Tips). I love it and I am tempted to buy more.

Lush’s Happy Daze 

I received Lush’s Happy Daze as a birthday gift from my friend Marissa. Marissa is feeding my Lush addiction and I 100% approve. Happy Daze comes with four Lush items: Granny Takes a Dip Bath Bomb, Brightside Bubble Bar, The Comforter Bubble Bar and Fizzbanger Bath Bomb. I used the Fizzbanger bath bomb the other day; it made me smell like apples. Because I live in California and California is dealing with a drought, I am restricting myself from taking multiple baths.. #californiaproblems

Bumble and Bumble 

When I colored my hair in January, I purchased Bumble and Bumble’s color shampoo and conditioner. I usually like Bumble and Bumble’s products, but the smell of this shampoo had a chemical smell. The smell gave me headaches which should not be happening. I decided to switch to a different Bumble and Bumble product and got Bumble and Bumble’s Gentle Shampoo. So far I really like it; It doesn’t smell bad so that’s good. It also makes my hair feel super soft and thick.

Foam Roller

I’m a full time student which means I am always studying. When you slouch over for a long period of time, you can ruin your poster. My friend/ pilates instructor can tell when I’ve been working on a difficult project just by looking at my shoulders. I am now to the point my back hurts and need to lay down on the ground. She advise me to foam roll my back to help ease the pain. This has helped a lot; COLLEGE STUDENTS DON’T FORGET TO STRETCH! I got mine from Target, but you can get them anywhere.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

When I need to de-stress I either workout or watch videos. Sometimes you just need to have a couple of minutes to yourself and not think of anything. I finally watched Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.. If you like 30 Rock you will love this show! Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is hilarious and quirky. If you’ve never heard of this show, Kimmy was rescued from a cult and is now living her life in New York. My favorite character is Titus; his music video Peeno Noir needs to be nominated for a Grammy.
