August Favorites.

Hi Everyone!

Well, I’m officially back in school so that means summer is over. I hope you don’t mind but I want to do an August Favorites today, even though it’s September 3rd.

Disney Annual Pass

 

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll probably see more Disneyland pictures because I am officially a Disney Annual Pass Holder! My best friend, Cara, lives in the LA area and I try to visit her every month. I’ve been to Disneyland 3 or 4 times this year, it just made sense for me to get one. I am actually going this weekend to watch my friends do the Disneyland Run.

Bloggers Gonna Blog

 

I bought a gold foil print from Charm and Gumption in July but I finally have a frame for it. I obviously blog and I love the color gold so I figured this would be the perfect addition to my home. I am actually staring at it as I type. When I bought mine, Charm and Gumption didn’t have their crazy sale so if you want this print, I know they’re selling it for $5!

The Goonies

I watched the Goonies like 7 times in August, which I know it’s crazy but I did. My absolute favorite character is Chunk! This movie is hilarious and if you’ve never watched it, I advise you to run to Target and get the dvd. Fun Fact: This year is the Goonies 30th Anniversary!

Laura Mercier’s Tinted Moisturizer 

 

I hate wearing powder foundation during this hot weather. In an A.C. room, my powder foundation looks fine but once I step outside, it’s done. It’s hot, I’m sweaty and now my makeup looks caked on. Generally, I hate wearing makeup when it’s hot. Instead of using powder foundation, I’ve been using my Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer more often, especially in August. It’s a super light liquid, there’s 20 SPF, and blends very well.

Real Techniques 301 Brush

 

I think you guys know I love rose gold right? Well I went into Ulta and found Rose Gold Makeup Brushes!! Real Techniques has a Bold Metal’s collection and they have two rose gold brushes!!! I bought the 301 Brush; this brush is perfect for contouring my cheekbones. I’m kinda sad that I didn’t buy the 300 Rose Gold Brush also.. Ulta Trip in September?

Florence + the Machine

This was a weird coincidence but I started to re-listen to Florence and the Machine. I kinda forgot how amazing she is! Lungs is a beautiful album and don’t get me started on Ceremonials. I remember telling my friend, “Florence and the Machine would be such a good concert to see! I would love to see her.”

A couple weeks ago, I decided to check who’s performing at the Hollywood Bowl. And guess who’s performing… Florence and the Machine! I knew she was performing at the Greek Theater but I had no idea she was going to perform at the Hollywood Bowl. So now me and my friends are going to the October 17th show! If you’re going that day or going to see her perform, let me know!!

SLEEP

Remember when we were little and would get so angry at our parents for forcing us to take a nap? Oh how naive we were. Bedtime, sleeping in, and naps are probably my favorite words. You feel so much better and I always feel extremely refresh! With my school schedule, I am going to miss sleeping in; I witness the sun rise at 6 am… This is when you know you’re an adult.

Those are just some of the things that I loved in August. It’s still super weird that we’re in September and I still think it’s weird it’s been a year!
