AHS: Hotel is finally here!

It finally happened, American Horror Story: Hotel has aired!!! I’ve been waiting for this since my mother Monster (aka Lady Gaga) announced that she will be apart of the show.

This first episode was so intense! I don’t want to go into too many details, since I know some of you haven’t watched it yet, but I can’t believe how many characters Ryan Murphy, the creator of the show, already killed. And the set; oh my, Hotel Cortez looks absolutely stunning! Is it weird that I while I was watching the premier, I thought this would be the perfect wedding venue? And the wardrobe #OMG I can already tell the costumes for this season is going to be amazing!!! Liz Taylor, you better work it! And Sally, you are the definition of “cray”.

The one thing I know I will confuse is the male characters. Ryan Murphy cast very similar looking men:

Does Ryan Murphy have a type? Or is there a reason why they all look the same? Either way, I already confused Will Drake with Donovan and I had to re-watch the first episode again to make sure my eyes weren’t playing tricks on me.

 I know a lot of people had their doubts about Gaga temporarily replacing the Queen, Jessica Lange, but she is a perfect fit. In 2010, I saw Gaga on the Monster Ball Tour and there was blood, sex, death, comedy, and wtf moments.. Which is basically American Horror Story’s persona. She not only sings, but she can act; I feel her character has a old Hollywood glam personality by the way she talks and how she moves. As a little monster, I am so proud of Gaga for taking that next step in the entertainment industry. 

If you’ve never watched a season of AHS, just know you can watch this season. Every season is a different plot line with different characters. The one thing that stays the same is the actors and actresses (sometimes). Ryan Murphy did say every season is somewhat connected. It’s absolutely genius of him to do that; viewers are not just watching it for entertainment but they are looking for hidden messages.
