I said this in my September Favorites but I am going to say it again, I am obsessed with Scream Queens! My favorite has to be Chanel.. Scratch that, I like all of the Chanels. Since this is the week people are getting their last minute Halloween costumes together, I thought I would show you one of mine! For today’s blog post, I’m going to show you how to dress like one of the Chanels.
To dress like one of the Chanels, you need to have three things: faux fur, pastel, and pearls. Think very girly. Your hair needs to be lightly curled, put into a half pony or tight bun. And if you want to be Chanel #3, wear ear muffs.
Still having trouble? Here are my tips on getting a Chanel costume:
- Double check your closet before you buy things! It’s easy to forget what you have; you don’t need to over buy for a costume you’re going to wear once.
- Try to go for pieces that you would actually re-wear again! I know I am going to wear that blouse again since I love black bows with white tops. If you’re wondering why I didn’t purchase a pink fur coat like Chanel, it’s because I hate the color pink.. Sorry, but not my cup of tea. But I did find this pink fur vest at Forever 21 that screams Chanel
- We can’t all call Karl Lagerfeld, uncle Karl and get free fancy clothes. Next best thing, go look at cheaper stores, run through the sale items; You can even check out thrift stores if you need too.. but I don’t think Chanel would like that.
I’ve had this idea since the first episode so I’m excited to finally do this! I think this is going to be one of the hottest Halloween costumes this year.
